Nykiel-Audio is a small research project devoted to sound processing in all of its aspects: from recording a physical sound to attempt of its faithful reproduction in studios and hi-fi systems.

It started from researching audio distortions back in the early 90′s at Warsaw University of Technology, where Peter Nykiel is still working.

Since then he designed lots of custom made sound equipment including omnidirectional loudspeakers, cables and last but not least “truly analog” AC/DC converters, which hopefully will be available to the wider public soon.

Through the years he is strongly connected to Rogalow Analogowy vintage studio, which is one of the very few places working in fully analog (both technically and mentally) domain only. It is also a sort of a testing ground to develop some concepts that result in concrete solutions. One of them and the very first widely available Nykiel-Audio product is iSRC.
